Specific instructions for EVO-PLUS

8

Evo-Plus has a switching system that can commute the two lateral units from being a PASSIVE MODE system to being an ACTIVE MODE system and vice versa.

While in PASSIVE MODE, the system allows the bicycle to tilt sideways up to a maximun angle of about ±15º, in order to be able to ride as usual (also during turning phases).

While in ACTIVE MODE, the system maintain the bicycle in vertical position.

9

The switching from passive mode to active mode is performed by means of a lever that has to be assembled on the bicycle handlebar.
The lever has to be positioned on the handlebar in such a way to avoid to create difficulties and/or hamper the use of the left and/or the right brake lever already on site nearby there (see indications on the assemble instructions sheets).

10

To commute the system from passive mode to active mode:
- stop the bicycle on an area with regular pave which surface is regular, even and horizontal;
- set down both the feet on the ground and transfer all the own body weigth from the bicycle to the ground;
- pull the lever and lock it in the working position using the locking pin;
- verify the good result of the commutation: the two lateral wheel holders cannot swing up and down;
- seat on the saddle and enjoy a comfortable seat.

11

To commute the system from active mode to passive mode:
- place the bicycle on an area with regular pave which surface is regular, even and horizontal;
- with both the feet and all the body weight on the ground, pull the lever until the locking pin is unlocked;
- verify the good result of the commutation: the two lateral wheel holders can swing up and down;
- seat on the saddle and to ride the bicycle as usual.
